I'm usually updateless on weekdays.
Kuku me dropped my earring into the guy 's whose standing next to me. I felt kinda paiseh so I didn't ask him to return and just pretended nothing happened. -__-
Although that wasn't my favourite pair of earrings but I recalled that pair is one of the better earrings (in terms of designs) that I first bought, or possibly one of the first few earrings that I bought myself.

Well...Guess some things are just fated in a way, just like the tragic (bizarre!) news I heard today on 98.7fm.
I'm not too sure if it took place in Singapore but the news was about a mentally unwell young lady who wanted to commit suicide by jumping from the 5th storey, amazing didn't died.
Unfortunately a 53 year old auntie took the young lady's death cos' she landed on the auntie!
Damn...If you say this isn't fated then what could it be? It is too much a bizarre sense of timing just like the stingray hit the lady outta the blue and caused her death.

Sigh...you really wouldn't want to believe in some things till it happened.

Anyway, the Cha U's variety show recommend this Blk 106, Clementi st 12 (IF I have not remember wrongly) for a stretch of yummies! It is under the old block of HDB but with a stretch of different cafe/restaurants.
Not too sure about the price though but it sure looks interesting & yummy!
If Jason has got a car this weekend, I wouldn't mind checking it out! Lol.

Work is nothing but a pack of 8 hours of laziness & inefficiency! DAMNNNNNNNNN!!!!
Till August...It seems like crawling yet the sleeping hours pass by so fast!

I'm lucky I'm in love with my best friend - Jason Mraz

Jason intro me a very nice song yesterday. It was one sweet song that will bug your ears upon 1st listen. Honestly if Jason wasn't that big of a Mraz'a fan first, I would have really, really like Jason Mraz. He has a voice that's so smooth and nice and he's geeky cute.

I know Jason kinda inspired to be like him. Original, sing well, play the guitar well, composes etc. Well...I would actually fall for Jason Mraz if he wooes me...Haha. But Mraz is Mraz, Jason is Jason.

So this song sang about feeling lucky of being in love with someone whom is too someone who you call a bestfriend...I guess.
How many cases of "When Sally meets Harry" actually really work out? I'm curious.

In movies like "Made of Honor",falling in love with an opposite gender whom is too, your best friend is like the sweetest thing on earth. Both of you know each other inside out, know when to back out, when to pursue, first to be there when either is feeling down or to share joy with etc.

I wiki the meaning of Best Friend.
Best Friend may refer to:
Best Friend, someone with whom one shares the strongest possible kind of friendship.
Normally...2 opposite genders either just be platonic friends or couple. And best friends and couple would be just a fine line of gap. Some people might rather not overcross the line for fear of losing the precious friendship. Thus...I guess it is harder for 2 people to become good friends then couple.
Friends...if you are attached now, would you consider the partner you are with now as your bestfriend?
I asked Jason if I am his bestfriend and he simply said yes, while I pondered over it. I was thinking if it's funny that I consider Jason my bestfriend?
Sometimes I thought if we aren't together as a couple, we might be 2 really good friends. Most time we got along well, we made each other laugh etc.
But I thought alot of times, he gave in to me thus making things possible.
I think we just feel lucky.
Guess I won't be able to answer to that now. Best friend between 2 oppsite genders...I guess it really take efforts and courage to admit you are in love with each other.
Meanwhile..go find the song. It's nice. =)
Jason Mraz Featuring Colbie Caillat - Lucky Lyrics
Do you hear me, I'm talking to you
Across the water across the deep blue ocean
Under the open sky, oh my, baby I'm trying
Boy I hear you in my dreams
I feel your whisper across the sea
I keep you with me in my heart
You make it easier when life gets hard
I'm lucky I'm in love with my best friend
Lucky to have been where I have been
Lucky to be coming home again
Ooohh ooooh oooh oooh ooh ooh ooh ooh
They don't know how long it takes
Waiting for a love like this
Every time we say goodbye
I wish we had one more kiss
I'll wait for you I promise you, I will
I'm lucky I'm in love with my best friend
Lucky to have been where I have been
Lucky to be coming home again
Lucky we're in love every way
Lucky to have stayed where we have stayed
Lucky to be coming home someday
And so I'm sailing through the sea
To an island where we'll meet
You'll hear the music fill the air
I'll put a flower in your hair
though the breezes through trees Move so pretty you're all I see
As the world keeps spinning round
You hold me right here right now
I'm lucky I'm in love with my best friend
Lucky to have been where I have been
Lucky to be coming home again
I'm lucky we're in love every way
Lucky to have stayed where we have stayed
Lucky to be coming home someday
Ooohh ooooh oooh oooh ooh ooh ooh ooh
Ooooh ooooh oooh oooh ooh ooh ooh ooh

Saturday

After work, Jason & I went to Chinatown to collect our tickets from the agency.
Chinatown would be a good place to walk about and excellent choice to snap around if the weather is good.
Yesterday's weather was just right. Not too humid nor overly sunny, windy or rainy.

After collection, we were feeling a lil peckish. We walked around looking for food and being a "smart-alec", I randomly suggested this "famous" porridge stall. Well...I do rem' a famous porridge stall but I guess I just forgot where it actually is located.(No..I am not talking about the one at the Maxwell market.)

Photobucket

Porridge just ain't so cheap but again...It has been some time since I last ate a porridge.

They charged GST too...Wth?Photobucket

We ordered 鸡丝粥 and I for a 'X' time got the 鸡丝粥 that I hate!

Photobucket From the looks of it, it still seems alright. No egg, no you-tiao,it's ok. But I just hate it when people gave 鸡块粥when they are selling 鸡丝粥!
鸡丝 is supposed to be shredded chicken and is from the breast part. They just conveniently threw in a few pieces of chicken parts with SKIN somemore and sell it to us! Wtf!
If I wanna eat 鸡块,I might as well just ordered 鸡粥 right?
I finished the porridge and left all the chicken parts behind. My bowl has more skin than Jason's loh. Wth!
People...Just rem' that signboard. Unless you don't mind or wanna try others, don't visit it.
But then again there are alot of stalls that just sell 鸡块粥 when I ordered 鸡丝粥. Sigh.

PhotobucketPhotobucket
The streets of Chinatown.

We walked around Chinatown Plaza and it is like walking through an airy and more spacious Bugis Street for aunties. I was a lil' amazed,y'know.

Then we con'td roaming around and find some good spots of phototaking.
Just like these...!

Photobucket Welcome to my house. =3

Photobucket Sorry, we are not open yet. Pleease come by later.

Photobucket Ebay, you could find anything, possibly. And we preferred paying by Paypal.

Photobucket
This is super funny. We stumbled upon a night KTV lounge with some dubious and really some fugly photos pasted outside. I supposed they are the hostness of the KTV lounge and they have really funny pose. So...I joined in.

This photo is effectify.Photobucket

That is one alley and I thought it is a supposed good spot for photo taking with the leaves of the trees hanging just right there. Jason asked me to hold the leave and posed. He then exclaimed,"Next time your children will laughed at you saying you very o-bit."
This is the same pose that your parents' generation would pose...Lolx.

Photobucket I asked him to eat the leaves and let his children have a chance to laugh too.

Now this is my favourite spot I came across.

Photobucket
I thought the place just evokes alot of 'feels' looking at it. Or maybe it is just me with one way street.

We took a photo each and I kinda like it.

The original photos.
PhotobucketPhotobucket

The photos might look better if we were less tired looking(after so much walking) and better prep.

The effectify ones.
PhotobucketPhotobucket
I couldn't decide which one I like better.

By the time I tried Jason's, I was so damn zzzz.Photobucket

So I stop at that pic.We cont'd walking and we reached Tanjong Pagar.
We had our feet rest at Amara Hotel (One chui hotel with super flousy "shopping" mall.)

Now friends, I have another place that I recommend you NOT to go if you stopby Amara hotel.

There's B.K, Spinelli, Subway and this...
Photobucket It's called Chinatown American Bakery Cafe.

Photobucket
They have some pretty decent looking muffins, puddings, pies etc.

Photobucket
And the overall decor of the cafe is not bad too....

It costs slightly cheaper than Spinelli so we decided to try it here.
It was run by these 2 ah gong and ah ma. We ordered 2 ice blended mocha and Jason added in a choco chip muffin.

Spoiler part came in now.
That ah ma heard wrongly and gave us two ice lemon teas when Jason politely told her that our order is ice mocha. She then present us this frustrated look and keep making that kinda sound when you are fussy or frustrated.
Jason later explained that she was feeling frustrated with herself but honestly, it is such a TURN OFF when you are the customer loh! Wth!
Even you feel frustrated with yourself, you shouldn't do it infront of the customers. If she isn't old and grey, I would have show her my face too!

Photobucket The food came and it looked alright. But when I drank that ice mocha, I almost puke out. It tasted more like artificial milk powder which some ultra cheapskate bubbletea shops would use for their milktea. It's ultra TMD.
$4.50 for that ice mocha!
Muffin was a lil too crispy from the outside and inside was a lil too soft. It wasn't inedible but also nothing that I would give a thumb up for.

Overall, BOO!!

Photobucket Emo pic there.

Jason was talking or explaining to me about something which I totally forget what was he talking about now and I lost interest listening. Instead I was folding the napkin....
Photobucket and he stopped talking suddenly and gave me the (T_T) face. LOLX!

We walked back to Chinatown and up to Clarke Quay! So it was like from Chinatown to Tanjong Pagar, back to Chinatown up to Clarke Quay. Whoa! Ok lah..wasn't exactly that long of a distance but I was tired by the time I reached Funan.

Rested at Jollybean for a while before we went back to his house. My intentions was to go back and watch the 7.30pm Cha U korean show last episode and he cooked maggie mee for dinner.
That was how it goes eventually but I became moody for a while.
Maybe I was too tired and then a lil' grossed out at his house (....Euuch!) but when the show starts, I picked up a lil.

Pretty much how my Saturday went. Hope I can watch Batman next Sat.
Up next another entry for thought but now lunch and housework first.
My typical Sunday!

Heartx!

My mum's birthday

Friday was my mum's lunar birthday. (She only knows her lunar birth date.) As the date changes on the English calender every year and I actually forgotten clean about it this year!
I guess I was too caught up celebrating my own birthday & anniversary(too a birthday) that I didn't notice it.

After a phone call from my bro, I panicked & rushed to Plaza Sing with the sweet companion of Fyn & Mel.

Photobucket Tracy suggested buying this from P.S so I did.

Photobucket

It's located at Plaza Sing B1, facing Begawang Solo. A small outlet with some very nice cakes, in terms of its taste & looks.

Photobucket I bought the mango m one and you can see that's a generous half mango given. Best Seller...Almost every other cakes there have the Best Seller tag though.
It's $32 for that but actually it's quite worth it for the taste! I think it's even better than Breadtalk.

Went home & greeted my mum Happy Birthday. The thing about my family is we are not those that openingly expressed ourselves or celebrated birthday as a family thingy. I just felt kinda bad for forgetting it.

More of the cake....

PhotobucketPhotobucketThis is the 2nd time I had this cake and I still like it. It's layered with mango, light sponge cake and top the mango moouse. Not too heavy to the taste buds and nicely frangrant. I thought the level of sweetness & sourness (of the mango) is just aptly combined but there might be some other room of thoughts.
Overall it is one of the better cakes I have eaten. I'm a lil' fussy on cakes. I hate it too sweet, too creamy, too dry, too lumpy etc and I am not that big of a cake fan. If the cake I eaten and think it is good, it should be good. Hehe.

PhotobucketPhotobucket
PhotobucketPhotobucket
It was 9pm and my mum decided to just cut the cake. Dad was bathing and lil' bro was not back yet. So it was awkardly me and my other bro sang the song for me with me being more enthu. about it...or trying to be. Lolx. It is just not our family thing lah. I wish I could have done for mummy though...
After cutting the cake, mum promptly retired to bed. -_-
So that was how we celebrated my mum's bday. It feels so "weird" that one year I requested not to have any bday cake for my bday since.
If I am going to have a family one day, I hope I can instilled the bday celebration mindset in it.
I mean....Who doesn't wanna feel that they are worth living and glad to be on their bday right? Not that my family doesn't think so but sometimes...It is just weird.
Hhaha.
Next Friday...My lil' bro's bday.
Don't think he would be home but still I gonna just buy something for him.

I think this is kinda funny.

Thu Jul 24, 5:41 AM ET
WELLINGTON, New Zealand
- A family court judge in New Zealand has had enough with parents giving their
children bizarre names here, and did something about it.
Just ask Talula
Does The Hula From Hawaii. He had her renamed.
Judge Rob Murfitt made the
9-year-old girl a ward of the court so that her name could be changed, he said
in a ruling made public Thursday. The girl was involved in a custody battle, he
said.

The new name was not made public to protect the girl's privacy.
"The
court is profoundly concerned about the very poor judgment which this child's
parents have shown in choosing this name," he wrote. "It makes a fool of the
child and sets her up with a social disability and handicap,
unnecessarily."

The girl had been so embarrassed at the name that she had never told
her closest friends what it was. She told people to call her "K" instead, the
girl's lawyer, Colleen MacLeod, told the court.

In his ruling, Murfitt cited a list of the unfortunate
names.
Registration officials blocked some names, including Fish and Chips, Yeah Detroit, Keenan Got Lucy and Sex
Fruit
(wtf?), he said. But others were
allowed, including Number 16 Bus Shelter "and tragically, Violence," he
said.

New Zealand law does not allow names that would cause offense to a
reasonable person, among other conditions, said Brian Clarke, the registrar
general of Births, Deaths and Marriages.
Clarke said officials usually talked
to parents who proposed unusual names to convince them about the potential for
embarrassment.

5th year anniversary

Finally uploaded the photos and now to share Jason & my 5th year anniversary. =)

Photobucket At 5pm, I received a phone call asking about my office's unit no, stating "I've got flowers for you." Not long after, my colleagues inter-com me and asked me to go and receive my flowers.

It's a lovely 17th stalks of pink roses with very nice wild flowers decorated around.

Photobucket Photobucket
Jason later told me that he specially got 5 plus 12 stalks. He claimed that he "customised" his order so it would specially comes to be 17 stalks. But come to think about it....I wondered why?

It's a super heavy bouquet!!!Photobucket

By far the heaviest I've ever received from Jason. It's so heavy that my arms ached the day after. No kidding!

We met 7pm @ Central. I was missing Azabu Sabo's ramen but when I fnally sink my teeth in...I don't think I miss it that much afterall. I meant, I just had it like 1 week plus back?

Photobucket Ah gong deciding on the dessert to get.

I gave Jason his present over there. No...Actually he gave me MY present first!

Photobucket When I see Agatha, things like hair clips came to mind.
Agatha's doggie, for some reason fetch a very high price in the market. I would never bear to pay such X amount for a doggie shape hair clip.

Seconds after, I got dubious about what's in the box. I even gave it a lil' rattle to check-hear what's inside. I doubtfully asked Jason if this box is just a faux? I imagined it to be something funny like paper clips when I open the box. HAHAHA.

My utmost surprise & glee when I opened the box & saw this....Photobucket
A blink-blink doggie necklace!!! (I set high contrast for this pic so that the pendant appeared to be blinding to the eyes)

This is how it looks like.
Photobucket Nice? =3

As for Jason's gift, I got it some time back.
Firstly,I gotta thank Fyn for being so patient & help me to do the wrapper paper bag base. I had to say...I am sorry to then screw the wrapping eventually. Sorry~~

PhotobucketPlus I put it in my bag so it ended looking so damn sorry.=(

PhotobucketCan tell Jason wasn't impressed with the gift afterall.Lolx.
Photobucket Opening....
Photobucket Ah ha!
Photobucket Revealing my 5th year anniversary present for him is....
Photobucket O_o! Green tea bag!

I think I find it more funny than Jason. He told me,“我不要跟你好了。”HAhahahahaha!

Actually the present is this. Photobucket
This brown watch costs loh!!I think it could be even more expensive than that Kenneth Cole Reaction Auto watch I got for his bday!

Digressing....

Photobucket
We tried something new for desserts. Some hot potato something. I think it's either I am sick of Jap cuisines or I just find this dish not as nice as I thought to be. Actually I don't really prefer Jap desserts lah. They just look nice to me.

Photobucket We went Mediya for a while before heading home when I saw this Vaio Pink small kettle!! So damn cute,I tellcha! Bimbo stuff. In reality...not as useful bah. I mean if I were to get a kettle, I would get one that could boil enough water for everyone and not reboil 5 times in a day.

Anyhow...that's pretty much how we spent our 5th year. Actually where to eat is not as important. I would be happy to dine even at B.K actually, if not for the illusion of I think I miss A.Sabo's ramen. Sigh!

Presents wise...I guess we just wanna get something for each other and that something must be something good and the other party must like it. I knew he always wanted a brown watch. Though that Fossil one isn't the one I like to get but the other one is way outta line. Maybe next time...For Jason, it's always has to be practical gifts.
As for me, I know I am always whining to him I want a 'wo-wo'(dog) but I truely didn't expect this Agatha's necklace! I thought he might get me the Adidas hoodie jacket which I wanted to buy last weekend.
I like pink and I like blink and now I got a pinkie blink 'wo-wo'. Heeeee.

Photobucket

Happy 5 th year anniversary, baby. It's truely a blessing to be with you.
Now how will I ever end a post without some cam-whore pics? Don't say I never warn you when I gave you my bloggie add. LOL!
Photobucket
Tomorrow's Friday already?
This week,surprisngly is a breeze!
Photobucket
Everyone's love!
